From Passion to Profession: My Journey
My story begins in St. Cloud, where I grew up with a love for creativity and entrepreneurship. This passion followed me to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where I am currently a senior. Balancing college life and running a business has been challenging but so rewarding.
I started making jewelry in high school, transforming simple materials into pieces of art. What began as a hobby turned into a small venture. I started selling my creations through pop-up events and Instagram, selling to friends, family, and the local community. The positive response encouraged me to take the next steps toward turning my passion into a business.
Taking the Leap: Made By Megan
With the support of my growing customer base, I officially launched Made By Megan. Securing my LLC licensing marked the transition from a small-scale operation to a recognized business. This move allowed me to expand my reach and establish an e-commerce store, making it easier for customers near and far to access my jewelry. My pieces also found a home in several local small businesses, further expanding my market and visibility.
